It’s a quick, 3-step process that goes like this: 1. Turn off all distractions. 2. Write down everything you have to do. Set a timer for 5 minutes so you don’t get overwhelmed. ⏲ 3. Do your most dreaded task first to get it out of the way. Every time I’m dreading starting my to-do list, I do this exercise. It gets my head in the game, and allows me to focus. How’s your energy level? People say it all the How’s your energy level? People say it all the time, but seriously, this week has been LONG. Like LOOOOOOOONG. Are you with me? You know that ONE thing that just drains ALL your energy. Every. Single. Time… ❤️ - Yep, I’ve got one (or a few) of those. 👍 - Not really… huh? We definitely have the automatic-exhaustion thing, and it’s exhausing when I have to drive every day! I like driving, but I like it only about 3 days of the week. But when I have to do it everyday of the week, then I don't want to go ANYWHERE after the week is over. It’s silly, but it drains us without fail. And we avoid it when possible it but can only take it in small doses. Mostly (honestly), we’re happy it’s Friday. And we're going to set a word to recharge ourselves. Ever been motivated by what others think? 🙋🙋🙋 We’re all constantly working toward something for ourselves. Whether it’s to be healthier, smarter, financially stable, less stressed, happier, whatever. It’s constant, and that’s life. But a question we often forget to ask when we decide what we’re working on is “WHO are we working on this thing for?” We have a secret: If you’re not intrinsically motivated (aka working on something for YOURSELF), it’s pretty likely you’re not doing it for the right reasons. It’s also likely the thing you’re working on won’t stick or come to fruition if you’re not doing it for you. And even if it does, it’s probably not going to feel as great as you thought it might. This is something it took us a LONG time to learn. So, if you’re willing, take it from us: Work on yourself, for yourself. Fad diets aside, I think we ALL really know that t Fad diets aside, I think we ALL really know that the best way to get in shape is to be physically active consistently. You strengthen your physical self by training your body and muscles. The same is true for your emotions and mindset… You gotta flex and stretch to keep your mental strength in shape, too. It’s never easy starting anything. Working out for the first time, getting on stage to give a presentation in front of people for the first time, starting a business, starting a family… and this applies to any journey we start. But the more we do it, the more comfortable we become. And eventually, we get pretty good at it. We become stronger. When I first started my business online, I was terrified and thought it would never get easier. But now, for one of my businesses my testimonials and reviews from clients bring more clients. So, if you’re scared to do something today, do it anyway. Do it scared. And the more you do it, the stronger your courage muscle becomes. ✊🏿✊🏼

A LOT of people get held up when it comes to getti A LOT of people get held up when it comes to getting sales online. Luckily, I’m kind of an expert at dealing with this. So, let’s talk it out. This is always my first piece of advice: First, we need to see why getting sales is a struggle for you. One of the most common struggles is the way you are going about trying to get sales. Is your website set up to get leads (opt-in) or to make sales (ecommerce)? If you are selling products like journals and planners, you need to identify the market your are selling them to and try listing them on marketplaces first to get your first sales. It's much easier when a marketplace already handles the marketing for you. All you have to do then is to use SEO and product images to get your product noticed. You can also use ads if you don't mind paying a few extra $. Typically, it’s just about getting over the fear about putting your stuff out there and using the skills you need to do that (SEO, ads, and even sales conversations if you work with clients). It’s super easy to be hard on yourself. 📌 E It’s super easy to be hard on yourself. 📌 Even about silly things like forgetting something or saying the wrong thing or comparing yourself to someone in your Instagram feed… But I’d like to invite you to cut yourself some slack. Think of a few of the things you judge yourself for on a daily basis. Would you judge the same things as harshly of your closest friend? Your neighbor? A co-worker? Probably not. So, why aren’t you as generous with yourself as you are with others… with total strangers even? You deserve grace, you don’t have to be perfect and that doesn’t mean that you’re not strong or doing well. 💪🏽💪💪🏾 My message to you today: Be gentle with yourself. 🥰

In my line of work, something we never do is get any sleep... at least when I was first starting. Just kidding! A fun fact is that we get to play any music we want, be at home with our kiddos, and truly be creative. While I notice it SO often, people typically have NO idea. I mean how many online sellers do you know can create an idea from nothing and build it into a business? A lot of them. I’ll bet the most vivid part about this memory isn’t what someone else did -- I’m guessing it’s how it made you *feel* that’s really sticking with you. Good or bad, people tend to remember feelings over words or actions. So, most of the time, the best thing we can do is just be a caring person. All the other noise rarely matters. My daughter coming to talk to me after she gets ho My daughter coming to talk to me after she gets home from school is one of the little things in my life that brings me so much joy. I worked from home for so many years so that I could build that relationship with them and be there for them when they got home from school. I know it sounds so small and trivial, but every day that I get to experience this, I’m IMMEDIATELY put into a better, more grateful and more present mood. Without fail. It just makes me smile. Your turn! Don’t hold back. Which one of ‘the little things in life’ just brings you so much joy you can’t stand it? 🥰
If you really think about all the things you worry If you really think about all the things you worry about in a day, a week, a month… how many of them actually happen? (I’m willing to bet *MAYBE* 1%, if that.) And if they do happen, does worrying about it mean that you suffer any less when the thing you worried about arrives? My adult brain wants to prepare for the worst-case scenario in each situation because of the handful of times I experienced a worry come to fruition. Guess what? Worrying doesn’t prevent or help 99% of my situations or outcomes. It’s human nature to want to brace for impact. So it’s really tough to remind yourself that there’s likely no impact to brace for. You gotta retrain your brain. Luckily, I’ve found that the more I do this, the easier and more routine it becomes. What’s something you consistently find yourself worrying about? Hey, can we take a minute to focus on YOU? May Hey, can we take a minute to focus on YOU? May is officially here, so it seems like a good time to check in on how your year is going so far. (Oh, and let’s celebrate that we can finally stop running into that “It’s gonna be May” JT meme. 🙄 ) Does it freak you out a little that 1/3 of the year is already gone? Because HOW DID THAT HAPPEN ALREADY? If you’re like me, every day is different. Some days are filled with busy work (sending emails, taking calls, loading your to do list with new tasks…). Others are more relaxed, where you’re able to really think ahead and dream and plan. Some days I feel like a CEO. Some days I feel like a note taker. (And some days all I want to do is binge a good show and curl up on the couch and pretend responsibility doesn’t exist 🙋😂) Wherever you are in your 2021 journey, you should be proud of yourself. Remember that success and progress don’t always look the way we initially planned. So, whether you’re feeling like a boss or not, stop for a second, and think of something you’ve accomplished so far this year. Acknowledge the good, and don’t dwell on the could/should/would-haves. Whatever you are, just be the best that.
